Collaboration with Tender Flesh

Tender Flesh, as she is known online, approached me with the idea of producing a series of prints to thematically echo her striking, and often bizarre, bespoke pottery pieces.

My aim was to pay homage to the most distinguishing quality of her work: the sculpted visages of her plant pots, proportions distorted, decorated with elaborate accessories and make-up inspired by an array of pop culture personalities, drag queens, influencers and other well-known faces. For this project, I conceptualised several designs for her to work off, following up with a 2D image that would encapsulate the mood and impression each pot might evoke.
